£25k Skoda Epiq to be revealed this month

Skoda has confirmed that its new entry-level electric SUV, the Epiq, will be revealed in full on 19 May and it could become one of the most relevant new EVs for everyday company car drivers.

Expected to start from around £25,000, the Epiq is designed to bring electric driving closer to the cost of a petrol-powered small SUV like the Kamiq, which is exactly where many fleets are still looking for affordable EV options.

Despite being only 4.1 metres long, roughly the size of a Fabia, Skoda says the Epiq will still offer seating for five and a 475-litre boot. For drivers, that means enough practicality for commuting, work equipment, shopping, or longer motorway journeys without needing to move into a much larger SUV.

Skoda is also focusing heavily on usability inside. Early interior sketches show a cleaner, more minimalist layout, but importantly physical controls remain alongside the touchscreen, which many drivers will likely prefer for everyday use.

The Epiq is expected to offer up to 267 miles of range and will sit below the Elroq in Skoda’s growing electric line-up.

For fleets, this looks like another sign that lower-cost EVs are finally starting to become more practical, accessible, and usable for mainstream drivers.
