The AA has begun a major internal rollout of artificial intelligence, introducing ChatGPT Enterprise across 1,500 job roles to remove duplicated processes, speed up analysis and reporting, and free teams to focus on service improvement.
The shift brings all existing AI activity onto a single platform, replacing multiple standalone tools. The AA says the move will help non-customer-facing teams work more consistently and efficiently as part of its wider “digital convenience with human care” strategy.
ChatGPT Enterprise will be applied to tasks such as data review, reporting, creative work and admin-heavy processes — areas the AA says currently absorb time that could be redirected to improving member and fleet customer support.
To help staff adopt the new tools, the rollout includes training programmes, an AI Champions network, dedicated support channels and internal hackathons.
Nick Edwards, group chief digital and AI officer, said the partnership with OpenAI “gives our colleagues powerful tools to work smarter, innovate faster and deliver even better experiences for our members.”
