Mazda has unveiled its new electric vehicle for Europe, the Mazda6e. This sleek electric hatchback, with a fastback saloon style, will launch in left-hand drive European markets this year before arriving in UK dealerships in early 2026.
Building on the legacy of the popular Mazda6 (2002–2023), the Mazda6e offers a fresh take with flowing modern exterior lines, a refined cabin design, and Mazda’s signature focus on driving experience.
Available with two battery options, the 68.8kWh model provides a range of up to 300 miles, while the 80kWh version extends to 345 miles. Both versions feature a rear-wheel-drive layout and deliver 320Nm of torque. The smaller battery version produces 258ps, achieving 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds, and supports 200kW DC charging, allowing a 10-80% charge in 22 minutes. The larger 80kWh battery offers 244ps, reaching 62mph in 7.8 seconds, and charges in 45 minutes.
Under the design concept ‘Electrifying Design Crafted to Perfection,’ the Mazda6e introduces the next evolution of Mazda’s ‘Kodo – Soul of Motion’ philosophy. Highlights include frameless doors, integrated handles, glowing front signature wing lights, and an aerodynamic rear spoiler. Inside, a panoramic roof floods the cabin with natural light, while the minimalist interior inspired by Japanese ‘Ma’ emphasises elegance. Premium materials, including tan Nappa leather on Takumi Plus trims, ensure a luxurious feel.
