Allstar highlights the changing costs of fuelling your business fleet


Based on millions of fuel-purchasing transactions in 2024, Allstar’s AllCosts report gives one of the most essential overviews of the real-world costs of fuelling EV and ICE vehicles on business fleets.
The good news for EV and Diesel vehicles is that costs are broadly down, while Petrol costs have risen. Here’s a quick breakdown by fuelling method:

EV – Charging at home
– Ave 24p/kWh. (Range 1p to 50p). Down 4p (15%). Note: 5% of this cost is VAT. Lowest since 2021.

EV – Public charging – Ave 78p/kWh. (Range 25p to £1.10) Down 4p. Note: 20% of this cost is VAT, so actual cost saving is 3.3p.

 

Petrol – 144.89p/litre. (Range 124.27 to 161.66) Up 1.55p/litre

 

Diesel – 150.85p/litre (Range 129.75 to 166.82) Down 1.55p/litre

 

At these rates, driving 10k miles in an executive car would cost…
£770 when home charging (3.1m/kWh)

£2520 when public charging (3.1m/kWh)

£1890 for petrol cars (34.9mpg)
£1550 for diesel cars (44.2mpg)
