BMW UK has launched a dedicated programme for chauffeur operators centred not simply on the new 7 Series, but on reducing downtime and maintaining business continuity.
The programme is aimed at chauffeur companies, corporate and VIP transport operators and luxury hotel fleets, and will be managed through BMW UK's specialist sales channel.
Eligible customers ordering before the end of 2026 will also qualify for a complimentary home charging point.
For fleet managers, the significant part is the change in what manufacturers are increasingly selling.
Vehicle specification remains important, but uptime support, charging, aftersales assistance and operational continuity can all have a major impact on whole-life cost.
That is particularly true in applications such as chauffeur operations, where every hour a vehicle is unavailable can directly affect revenue and customer service.
The same principle applies across company-car and commercial fleets.
When two vehicles offer similar lease costs or capability, fleet managers should ask what sits behind the vehicle.
How quickly can repairs be completed? What replacement support is available? How easy is charging to arrange?
