Cheaper entry and 25% BIK hybrid reinforce Clio’s role in compact fleet car lists

Renault has refreshed its best-selling Clio line-up with simpler trim choices, lower entry pricing and improved efficiency – changes that will resonate with fleets running compact cars or grey fleet vehicles.

The new 2027 model year Clio range is reduced to four trims – generation, techno+, techno esprit Alpine and iconic esprit Alpine – with prices now starting at £17,995 on-the-road, £1,000 lower than before. Order books are open now, with first UK deliveries expected in early 2026.

Fleet buyers retain a choice of two proven powertrains. The TCe 90 petrol returns up to 54.3mpg with CO₂ emissions as low as 118g/km, while the full hybrid E-Tech 145 delivers up to 65.7mpg and 98g/km CO₂ (WLTP), supporting lower fuel spend and reduced benefit-in-kind exposure. The hybrid sits in the 25% BIK band for 2025/26, compared with 29% for petrol versions.

Entry-level generation models come well equipped, including climate control, parking sensors and rear camera, while upper trims add heated seats, larger displays and advanced driver assistance. The range-topping iconic esprit Alpine, offered exclusively with the hybrid powertrain, introduces features such as a Bose premium audio system, 360° around-view monitor and hands-free parking.
