KGM Motors UK is targeting a key fleet question with its new Musso EV: could some van drivers switch to a pick-up without losing practicality?

Priced from £42,495 (including the Plug-in Van Grant), the all-electric Musso combines a 240-mile range with the kind of capability many fleets rely on. It can tow up to 2.3 tonnes and carry a 690kg payload, putting it in the mix for roles traditionally filled by medium vans.

Where it starts to stand apart is flexibility. The vehicle can power tools and equipment directly from its battery, making it useful for site-based teams or mobile workers who need electricity on the go.

There are trade-offs. Load space is open rather than enclosed, which may not suit all operations. But for sectors like utilities, construction or outdoor services, that could be less of an issue.

Low Benefit-in-Kind – from around £30 per month – also strengthens the case for company drivers.

With test drives starting in May, Musso EV offers fleets a genuine alternative worth considering where capability, tax efficiency and off-road performance matter.
