Cupra Raval set to bring affordable, driver-focused EV option to UK fleets

Cupra is preparing to launch the Raval in 2026, a compact electric hatchback aimed at bringing sharper styling and genuine driving appeal into the more affordable end of the EV market.

Built on the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB+ platform, the Raval is expected to start from around £22,000, putting it close to rivals like the Renault 5 E-Tech. For fleets, that positions it as a potential entry-level EV that still feels like a step up from purely functional options.

Cupra itself sits just above SEAT in the market, offering more design-led, premium-feeling models such as the Cupra Born and Cupra Formentor. The Raval brings that same approach into a smaller, more accessible package.

Range varies depending on spec, from around 186 miles on entry models up to 279 miles on higher trims – enough to cover typical commuting patterns without regular charging stops. Faster charging of up to 105kW means a 10-80% top-up in around 24 minutes, helping keep downtime to a minimum.

A range-topping VZ version delivers 222hp and a 0-62mph time of 6.8 seconds, while everyday usability remains front and centre – compact dimensions for city driving, enough boot space for shopping or weekend bags, and a design that stands out in a crowded car park.
