A large UK retail employer running a fleet of 330 company cars and 10 vans has dramatically reduced driver risk exposure after rolling out Fleet Operations’ Risk e360 compliance platform across its business.
The company had been dealing with rising accident rates, increasing insurance premiums and limited visibility over fleet compliance and grey fleet risk. Within 12 months of introducing the platform, its overall fleet Risk Exposure Score fell from 71.3% to just 18.4%, while annual speeding tickets and licence points dropped by 68%.
The business also achieved an 89.9% compliance rate across all employee driver groups, with high-risk drivers reduced by 82%, falling from 216 drivers to just 39.
Fleet Operations combined licence checking, risk assessments, maintenance records and driver training into a single live reporting platform, allowing managers to monitor risk and intervene earlier. Drivers completed 522 risk assessments, alongside 569 e-learning modules and more than 3,500 coaching modules focused on safer driving behaviours.
The system also introduced app-based vehicle safety checks covering tyres, mirrors and fluid levels, with issues automatically flagged to maintenance teams.
The case study shows how live compliance data and targeted coaching can reduce operational risk while strengthening duty of care across company and grey fleets.
