FleetWise Market Observation: What November’s Leasing Data Tells Us About Fleet & Consumer Demand

November’s latest insights from Leasing.com provide a useful snapshot of how fleet and consumer priorities continue to evolve across the UK leasing market.

On the business contract hire (BCH) side, the BMW i4 emerged as the most-enquired car, reinforcing the strength of demand for premium electric executive models. SUVs continued to dominate overall interest, accounting for 70.7% of enquiries, while battery electric vehicles (BEVs) represented 55.5%. Together, these figures underline the ongoing shift towards low-emission mobility without compromising on vehicle size, comfort or brand appeal.

In the van market, the Kia PV5 attracted the highest level of BCH enquiries. Diesel remains the primary powertrain at 65.4%, but electric vans now account for 31.9% of demand. This steady growth highlights how more operators are beginning to integrate zero-emission vans into their fleets as charging infrastructure improves and use cases become clearer.

From a personal contract hire (PCH) perspective, the JAECOO 7 led consumer enquiries in November. SUVs once again dominated with 70.4% of demand, while BEVs accounted for 27.0%, signalling increasing confidence among private drivers as electric options become more accessible and better understood.

Across both business and consumer channels, one trend remains consistent: shorter, more flexible leasing profiles. The most common structure continues to be a 12-month initial rental, 24-month term and 5,000-mile annual allowance, reflecting a market that values agility as technology, taxation and mobility strategies continue to evolve.
