Zoopla and Vauxhall Team Up to Make EV-Friendly Homes Easier to Find
EV-driving house hunters can now easily find homes with charging options thanks to a new partnership between Vauxhall and property platform Zoopla.
Zoopla has introduced new search filters that allow buyers and renters to view only properties with a home EV charger or locate the nearest on-street charging points—powered by data from Octopus Electroverse. This update follows Vauxhall research showing that 40% of UK motorists consider EV charging access a key factor when moving, with that figure rising to 84% among EV owners.
Despite more than 1.55 million fully electric cars now on UK roads and one in four new car buyers going electric, just 1.6% of Zoopla listings in 2025 explicitly mention EV charging. Vauxhall suggests property agents may be overlooking a fast-growing priority for buyers.
The enhanced search functionality is part of Vauxhall’s wider “Electric Streets of Britain” campaign. With the upcoming 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel cars, homes with EV infrastructure are expected to become increasingly valuable.
