Gatwick Construction cuts fleet admin by up to two hours a day

Gatwick Construction has overhauled its fleet and asset management processes after adopting FleetCheck Professional and LicenceAssured, consolidating more than 200 assets and replacing a tangle of spreadsheets, whiteboards and paper records. The switch has cut daily fleet administration by 1–2 hours, eliminated missed MOTs and services, and helped the company maintain audit-ready compliance for ISO standards.

The construction, engineering and maintenance specialist — operating 23 vehicles across vans and HGVs — previously relied on fragmented systems that made visibility difficult and compliance risks high. “We had 25,000 different spreadsheets… it was too much,” said Emily Worsfold, project administrator responsible for fleet alongside other duties.

After trialling FleetCheck on a recommendation from their Health and Safety Manager, the business transitioned to a fully centralised platform. Automated alerts, real-time dashboards and integrated licence checking now give the team full control over inspections, tax, MOTs and PMI schedules. “The traffic-light alerts make key dates hard to miss,” Worsfold said. “I feel confident the system isn’t going to let me down.”

The move has also simplified management of non-vehicle assets such as first-aid kits, tools and fire extinguishers — all now tracked in one system. FleetCheck’s onboarding team was praised for making the setup process “really easy”, ensuring minimal disruption.

Gatwick Construction says the improvements have strengthened safety culture, removed administrative bottlenecks and provided the confidence to pursue further accreditations. “With FleetCheck, we barely spend an hour a day,” Worsfold added. “It makes life so much easier.”
