Fly By Nite is set to save £100,000 over the next three years after switching to an integrated fleet management solution from Webfleet – and the operational impact goes well beyond cost.
Running a 201-vehicle fleet across Europe, Fly By Nite operates in one of the most demanding environments in road transport. Missed ferry slots, delayed arrivals or compliance breaches can put entire events at risk.
The business has now rolled out Webfleet’s tachograph management, driver behaviour monitoring and CO₂ reporting across its trucks. A key change is automated tachograph downloads via TachoShare, removing manual admin and giving the team real-time visibility of driver hours.
A customised dashboard shows remaining driving time, rest periods and duties at a glance. In practice, that means quicker decisions – whether that’s scheduling a break, booking accommodation or deploying additional drivers before issues arise.
Driver behaviour monitoring is also improving safety and efficiency, flagging harsh braking and speeding while enabling targeted training. At the same time, built-in CO₂ reporting allows the business to generate client-ready sustainability reports instantly.
