Mercedes-Benz Vans UK has enhanced its Citan range with stronger load capacity, an additional engine option, and new incentives ahead of the model’s planned phase-out in 2026.
Built by Renault at its Maubeuge plant in France and sharing architecture with the Renault Kangoo, the Citan will be discontinued next year as Mercedes-Benz refocuses on medium and large van segments.
From October 2025 production, all 110 diesel panel and crew vans receive complimentary payload increases. The L1 Base variant gains most, now carrying 680kg, up 201kg from before. A new 112 diesel engine, producing 116PS and 270Nm, joins the range with a standard automatic gearbox for Pro and Select trims. Both powertrains return over 50mpg and emit between 136–147g/km of CO₂.
A Special Edition Technology Pack (£995 excl. VAT) introduces navigation, wireless charging, and Active Parking Assist, while fleets can claim up to £1,200 off diesel and £4,200 off electric models until the end of 2025.
The eCitan, sold separately, uses a 45kWh battery and remains available alongside the diesel versions until production ends. Payloads reach 854kg, load volumes 3.62m³, and prices start from £21,575.
