MG Motor UK has been crowned EV Manufacturer of the Year at the 2024 GreenFleet Awards. This is the company's second GreenFleet success, after it won the 2022 award.
Now in their 20th year, the awards honour leaders in reducing transport emissions, with MG beating six shortlisted entries to secure the accolade. Judges praised MG’s accessible, high-quality electric vehicles and commitment to value for both fleet and private buyers.
MG has seen remarkable growth, increasing annual vehicle sales from 10,000 to over 80,000 in just seven years. As the brand celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2024, EVs account for 74% of its true fleet sales, reflecting its successful focus on electrification.
Key to MG’s success is the MG4 EV, a fully-electric hatchback boasting a 77kWh battery and up to 323 miles of range. 80% charging is also achieved in 35 minutes, making it a practical and affordable option for businesses transitioning to greener fleets.
Enhancing its fleet support, MG has introduced the MG Fleet Charter. This facility ensures clear response times and tailored services.
Meanwhile, its dealer network has expanded to over 150 locations nationwide, with a new courtesy-car scheme providing replacement vehicles for up to 96 hours, minimising downtime for fleet operators.
