Pacifica has delivered major efficiency and safety gains across its 200-vehicle van fleet after deploying Lightfoot’s real-time driver coaching system, alongside the company’s new AI-enabled Lightfoot Vision in-cab camera technology.
The nationwide appliance repair firm reports a 28% drop in unnecessary idling, helping to curb fuel waste and lower emissions. Since rolling out Lightfoot’s coaching devices in 2022, Pacifica has also achieved a 12% reduction in fuel use, translating into more than 100 tonnes of CO₂ avoided over the period.
Lightfoot Vision – designed to detect distraction risks such as phone use or loss of attention – has already helped Pacifica prevent incidents and supply evidence to police when required. According to Ben Langley, Head of Commercial Fleet, both systems have contributed to “significant savings and safer driving,” with employees engaging strongly through Lightfoot’s competitive driver scoring.
Lightfoot says 87% of Pacifica’s drivers now regularly reach Elite Driver status, unlocking further reductions in collisions, wear and tear and inefficient driving behaviours. Pacifica plans to complete its fleetwide installation of both technologies by Q3 this year.
