The Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA) has released a new white paper to help fleet and remarketing operators ensure compliance when transporting cars and vans.
Light Vehicle Transport Operations for Remarketing Businesses, the 12-page guide by Gary Xuereb, managing director at DMN Fleet Services, sets out best practices covering licensing, driver competence, insurance and load security. It warns that lapses in due diligence can expose fleets to significant financial and reputational risk.
VRA chair Philip Nothard said the paper responds to growing concerns around overloading, vehicle suitability, and operator responsibility across the sector.
FleetWise's Industry Outlook Report identified compliance as the only area expected to worsen in 2025 — the VRA's white paper reinforces the importance of strengthening standards in fleet transport operations.
