Volkswagen has opened UK order books for two run-out versions of its long-standing flagship SUV — the Touareg FINAL EDITION and the Touareg R FINAL EDITION — ahead of combustion-engine production ending for UK buyers in 2027.
Both special editions land on 11 December with more equipment and lower prices than the models they replace. The standard Touareg FINAL EDITION is priced at £72,535, £1,990 less than the outgoing Black Edition but fitted with around £2,500 worth of extra features, including upgraded Varenna leather seats, metallic paint, a 90-litre fuel tank, power-folding tow bar with Trailer Assist, power latching on all doors and enhanced ambient lighting.
The Touareg R FINAL EDITION, at £81,455, undercuts the previous R model by £1,805 while adding £1,700 of additional kit. Under the bonnet, the FINAL EDITION carries a 286PS 3.0 TDI, while the plug-in hybrid R FINAL EDITION pairs a 462PS 3.0 TSI eHybrid with 4MOTION all-wheel drive and an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox.
Both versions feature bespoke branding, with FINAL EDITION lettering laser-etched into the rear door surrounds and illuminated inside the cabin.
