Volkswagen has revealed UK pricing and specification for the new ID Polo, with order books opening on 30 July and prices starting from £23,945.
The all-electric supermini is positioned to rival the Renault 5, Peugeot e-208 and Vauxhall Corsa Electric, giving fleets another affordable EV option for company car drivers and urban fleets.
Key figures
- From £23,945 on-the-road
- Up to 281 miles WLTP range
- 10-80% rapid charging in 23-24 minutes
- 441-litre boot, around 25% larger than the petrol Polo
- Selected models eligible for the Government's Electric Car Grant

The ID Polo will be offered with a choice of 116PS, 135PS and 211PS powertrains, paired with either a 37kWh or 52kWh battery. Entry-level models offer around 206 miles of range, while the larger battery extends this to 281 miles.
Standard equipment includes a 10-inch digital cockpit, 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features. Higher-spec versions also gain Volkswagen's new Connected Travel Assist and vehicle-to-load capability, allowing the car to power external devices such as e-bikes.
For fleets, the confirmed pricing strengthens the ID Polo's appeal as a practical replacement for traditional superminis. Competitive pricing, fast charging and generous boot space make it well suited to company car drivers who want a familiar hatchback with the lower running costs of an electric vehicle.
