Evata launches shared charging platform to link fleets, landowners and CPOs

A new energy and infrastructure platform, Evata, is aiming to close the gap between fleet electrification ambitions and real-world charging capability by enabling fleets, landowners and charge point operators (CPOs) to trade energy access and infrastructure through a shared network.

The platform, now the preferred charging partner of the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP), uses fleet telematics data to map mileage, downtime, and charging demand, then builds a bespoke charging solution that minimises cost and operational disruption.

Evata’s three core services — charge card, discounted public charging, and shared depot access — allow fleets to tap into underused private chargers or negotiate charging rates up to 50% lower than standard tariffs. “We act as a conduit between the needs of fleet operators and CPOs,” said co-founder Shakeel Ali, “giving both sides the opportunity to collaborate based on real demand.”

The platform already hosts a database of thousands of private charging sites and uses telematics data to model EV operational costs and identify high-demand “virtual hubs”. Around 30 companies are now in the onboarding process, including SMEs and leasing providers exploring white-label solutions.
