First look: Nissan Juke EV brings bold design and more space

Nissan has revealed an all-new electric version of the Nissan Juke, signalling a shift for one of its most recognisable models as it moves into the EV era.

Set to go on sale in 2027, the new Juke EV sits below the Nissan Leaf in the brand’s line-up, sharing elements of its platform but with a more compact, city-focused footprint. It’s slightly larger than the current petrol model, which should translate into improved cabin space – a key factor for everyday usability.

The headline change is its design. Nissan has leaned heavily into a sharp, origami-inspired look, giving the Juke a more angular and distinctive presence. That could appeal to user-choosers looking for something that stands out in a crowded car park without stepping into premium territory.

While full specs are still to be confirmed, the Juke EV is expected to offer a choice of battery sizes, with a focus on balancing range and efficiency for typical commuting patterns. It will also benefit from the latest in-car tech, including large digital displays, built-in navigation and over-the-air updates.
