Bitsensing has launched a retrofit ADAS kit that allows existing buses and trucks to be upgraded with modern driver warning systems. Designed for complex urban driving, the system combines radar and cameras to alert drivers to blind spots, collision risks and vulnerable road users. With heavy goods vehicles involved in 14 percent of fatal road crashes in the EU, the focus is firmly on reducing exposure without replacing vehicles.
Data and visibility are also rising priorities. Sixt Van and Truck has rolled out its new Drive+ telematics service, in collaboration with Geotab, giving fleets real time insight into vehicle use, driver behaviour and risk. The aim is to simplify data while helping fleets demonstrate safer driving and lower insurance risk.
Both Sixt and Geotab are shortlisted in FleetWise's 100 Trusted Brands.
