Get the new KGM Torres Hybrid for less than its petrol counterpart

KGM Motors has unveiled a hybrid version of its Torres SUV, expanding the range to include petrol, hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. The new model, priced from £35,995, is actually £800 cheaper than the entry petrol version despite its added technology and equipment.

Developed in collaboration with BYD, the hybrid system — known as Dual-Tech Hybrid — pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors and a six-speed e-DHT automatic gearbox, producing 175ps and 300Nm of torque. KGM says the Torres Hybrid can complete 95% of city journeys on electric power alone, with zero-emission driving possible up to 62mph.

The SUV achieves a combined WLTP fuel economy of 46.1mpg and emits 139g/km of CO₂. Inside, it features dual 12.3-inch screens, heated and ventilated leather seats, and 32-colour ambient lighting, while a suite of driver-assistance systems adds safety and convenience.

KGM UK managing director Kevin Griffin said the model reflects growing demand for efficient vehicles “without compromise”.
