Mercedes-Benz Vans has launched a new mobile service operation in the UK, giving fleets the ability to complete full servicing and brake testing at their own premises.
The service is designed to reduce vehicle downtime and complements existing aftersales support such as Service 24 and MobiloVan. Instead of travelling to a workshop, vans can now be serviced, inspected and tested on site, keeping vehicles in operation for longer.
Each mobile unit is equipped to handle vehicles of up to six tonnes GVW and features an electric hydraulic lift that raises vans in a fully flat position. This allows technicians to carry out underbody inspections and maintenance to the same standard as a fixed workshop, including on-site brake testing for pre-MOT preparation.
All routine servicing tasks can be completed at location, from oil changes and engine checks to lighting tests and fluid top-ups. The vans can also perform full software upgrades remotely using a mobile network connection.
The first units are operating this month across the North-East of England and Scotland, with wider UK coverage planned through early 2026.
Simon Neill, operations director at Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, said: “We know how disruptive it is when a van must stop work for maintenance… the workshop comes to them, minimising downtime and keeping their businesses moving.”
