OVO has introduced a new subscription service that offers electric vehicle (EV) drivers a single fixed monthly price for charging at home and on the public network. The plans combine smart home charging with public charging vouchers, usable across more than 400,000 chargepoints in the UK and Europe.
The standard plan costs £27.50 per month, covering 700 miles of home charging, public charging vouchers and EV charger insurance against accidental damage, theft or vandalism. For £37.50, the premium plan increases home charging to 1000 miles and adds extras including a free annual battery health check, EV insights from ClearWatt, and 15% off KwikFit Club tyres.
Alex Thwaites, OVO’s director of EV, said: “We need to make EVs the easy choice for drivers. This means making them super affordable to run and simple to charge.”
