Porsche has begun taking orders for the all-new Cayenne Electric, which will sit alongside the existing petrol and plug-in hybrid versions of the SUV. Built on a new dedicated platform, the electric Cayenne supports ultra-rapid 400kW charging and offers a WLTP range of up to 398 miles.
The initial line-up includes two all-wheel-drive models: Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric. Both use a 113kWh battery, with a 10–80% charge taking just 16 minutes. Porsche says up to 202 miles of range can be added in 10 minutes when connected to a suitable charger.

Performance remains a key focus. The Turbo model produces 1,156PS and 1,500Nm, accelerating from 0–62mph in 2.5 seconds, while the standard Cayenne Electric reaches 62mph in 4.8 seconds. Practicality is unchanged, with up to 3.5 tonnes towing capacity and generous luggage space.
Prices start from £83,200, rising to £130,900 for the Turbo.
