Renault has unveiled the production version of the Trafic Van E-Tech Electric, the first model in its all-electric LCV family arriving from late 2026. The van debuts the brand’s new SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) architecture and becomes Renault’s first commercial vehicle to adopt 800V fast-charging, recovering 260km of range in around 20 minutes.
The Trafic E-Tech uses a new 150kW / 345Nm motor, supports 2-tonne towing, and offers up to 1.25-tonne payload (pending homologation). Built on a dedicated electric platform with a short front overhang and rear-mounted powertrain, the van maintains compact dimensions: 5.1m³ cargo capacity on the L1 (4.87m long) and 5.8m³ on the L2 (5.27m long), with overall height capped at 1.90m for multi-storey access.
Inside, the SDV system enables remote updates, predictive maintenance and integration with business software. The new OpenR interface brings a 12-inch LCV-specific navigation system, V2L and V2G capability, and Google-built-in services.
Further body formats — including chassis cab, platform cab, tipper and box van — will follow as Renault expands its all-electric Trafic range.
