Adler & Allan reduces fleet risk with Licence Check platform

Adler & Allan has strengthened fleet risk management by rolling out Licence Check’s DAVIS (Driver and Vehicle Information Solutions) platform across its driver population.

The business operates a central fleet of more than 1,000 cars, vans, HGVs and plant, alongside 18 subsidiary fleets nationwide. To meet duty of care requirements across such a complex structure, Adler & Allan introduced DAVIS to centralise licence checking and ongoing driver monitoring.

So far, 1,050 drivers are active on the system, with plans to migrate more than 2,000 drivers across the wider group over time. Despite a fleet team of just three people, licence checks and risk assessment are now managed efficiently.

Group fleet administration manager Steve Madeley said: “DAVIS makes the management of their licences very easy and straightforward for us.” The platform flags higher-risk drivers, with 29 currently rated high risk, and supports recruitment decisions by identifying drivers with more than six licence points or previous drink-drive convictions.

The increased transparency has also proved valuable during insurance discussions. Licence Check managing director Keith Allen said DAVIS turns what would be a “huge administrative task” into one that is “readily manageable,” helping fleets reduce risk while saving time and cost.
