Aion has entered the UK market with the V, a mid size electric SUV priced from £36,450 and available to order now.
It is offered with a single powertrain, combining a 75.4kWh battery with a 204PS motor and a WLTP range of up to 317 miles. Charging speeds of up to 180kW allow a 10% to 80% top up in around 24 minutes, putting it in line with key rivals for motorway use and higher mileage drivers.

Standard specification is a key part of the proposition. All models include a panoramic roof, heated and ventilated front seats, heated reclining rear seats, a 14.6 inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity and a full suite of driver assistance systems. Boot space stands at 427 litres, expanding to 1,638 litres with the rear seats folded.
Aion has also focused on ownership costs and support. The eight year package covers warranty, servicing, MOT and breakdown, and servicing can be carried out via a developing dealer network or mobile technicians.
The V has been tuned specifically for UK roads, with suspension adjustments aimed at improving ride comfort and stability in everyday driving conditions.
