Leapmotor B03 revealed: 242-mile range, arrives 2027

Leapmotor has unveiled the B03, an all-electric B-segment hatchback combining a claimed range of up to 242-miles with practical interior space, rapid charging and a comprehensive standard equipment list. It's scheduled to go on sale in the UK in early 2027.

Powered by a 53kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a 194hp front-mounted electric motor, the B03 produces 200Nm of torque and accelerates from 0-62mph in 7.6-seconds. Hooked up to a 133kW DC rapid, it enables a 10-80% charge in 21-minutes. A heat pump also comes as standard.

Practicality is a key focus, with the B03 offering 405-litres of boot space, increasing to 1,305-litres with the rear seats folded. There's even a 90-litre underfloor storage compartment, dubbed ‘Leap Box’, that provides a dedicated space for wet or muddy items.

Climbing inside, it's a very tech-focused affair; the B03 sports a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen alongside an 8.8-inch digital instrument display. Equipment also includes voice control, vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability and app-based connected services.

Safety technology includes 21 driver assistance systems supported by 14 sensors and cameras, with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assistance and rear cross-traffic braking. The car also incorporates seven airbags and Leapmotor’s Integrated Motion Control chassis system.

For the UK, the B03 will be offered in a single, highly specified trim level, with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree parking camera, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel fitted as standard. However, pricing has yet to be announced. But we can expect to hear further details in the near future.
