Europcar Mobility Group UK has added the Jaecoo 7 to its rental fleet as demand grows for plug-in hybrid vehicles among business drivers.
The mid-size SUV combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with an 18.3kWh battery and electric motor, delivering up to 56 miles of electric-only driving and a combined range of up to 745 miles with petrol and electric power.
For drivers renting vehicles for work trips, plug-in hybrids offer a practical way to experience electrified driving without fully relying on charging infrastructure.

That matters for the wider transition to zero-emission vehicles. In his Fleet1000 interview, Toby Poston highlighted the rental sector as one of the most challenging parts of the market to electrify, due to customer uncertainty and operational pressures.
Moves like this suggest demand is beginning to shift. By giving drivers hands-on experience with hybrid and electric vehicles, rental fleets can help remove some of the uncertainty that still surrounds electrification.
Europcar is also a FleetWise Trusted Brand, recognised for flexible fleet solutions such as short- and medium-term vehicle hire for businesses.
