Chery, Jaecoo and Omoda boost warranties to give fleets more confidence

The Chery Automobile group, which also controls Jaecoo and Omoda, has extended its warranty period on certain components as a result of customer and retailer feedback.

It comes as the Chinese giant grew significantly in the UK, now boasting a 5.7% market share in 2026 and continuing popularity for models such as the Jaecoo 7 and Omoda 5. The warranty boost covers all Chery, Jaecoo, Omoda models, giving fleets extra reassurance no matter which models they bought or are considering ordering.

To reassure both fleet and private buyers, Chery has expanded the number of components covered under warranty from three-years/40,000-miles to its full seven-year/100,000-mile policy. The list of those parts are as follows:

  • A/C compressor
  • Alternator
  • Brake calipers
  • Catalytic converter
  • Infotainment unit
  • Exhaust system
  • Fuel injectors
  • Fuel pump
  • Oil pump
  • Shock absorbers
  • Starter Motor
  • Track rod ends
  • Water pump
  • Wheel bearings
  • Window regulators

Additionally, all rubber components and bushes have their cover extended from three-years/40,000-miles to seven-years/60,000-miles.

The warranty extension is effective immediately with no action required from businesses or owners.
