Most fleet operators have yet to adopt artificial intelligence (AI), according to a new survey by transport-tech firm Tranzaura. While 36% of respondents are considering AI, and 27% are trialling it, full-scale adoption remains limited.
Operational efficiency was cited as the main motivation by 88% of those open to AI, with improvements in areas like vehicle maintenance a key draw. Meanwhile, 75% said sustainability and fuel efficiency also influenced their thinking.

Tranzaura CEO Shane Mann said: “Fleet managers are motivated to adopt AI, but there is a clear lack of action within the industry to actually adopt AI-powered tools.”
He added that fleet technology is advancing quickly: “We’ve moved from manual data consolidation to web-based platforms, and now AI represents another turning point. It’s vital that managers embrace the insights AI can deliver to improve both operations and environmental impact.”
