Hyundai Motor UK has confirmed that the KONA Electric is now eligible for the Government’s Electric Car Grant, strengthening its position as a cost-effective option for both fleet and private users.
All KONA Electric models qualify for Electric Car Grant Band 2, delivering a £1,500 reduction in the on-the-road price. The saving applies across Advance, N Line, N Line S and Ultimate specifications, helping to lower the upfront cost of switching to electric. For Motability customers, the move also cuts the advance payment to £749, improving accessibility.

The update is particularly relevant for fleets, where KONA Electric already has a strong footprint. Grant eligibility means the model is now available from £349 + VAT on a 6+35 month contract with 8,000 miles per year, representing a £38 per month improvement on previous pricing. Combined with a range of up to 319 miles, the revised position enhances its total cost of ownership credentials.
Citroën ë-C3, Kia EV4, Volkswagen ID.3 and Toyota C-HR+ are among some of the models Hyundai KONA joins on the ECG list.
