JAECOO has expanded its JAECOO 7 range with two new additions, giving drivers more choice on how they move into electrified driving.
The biggest change is the arrival of a full hybrid version (SHS-H), priced from £29,195. It uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a self-charging system, similar to what you’ll find in models like the Toyota RAV4 or Nissan Qashqai. That means you don’t need to plug it in – the car charges itself as you drive.
It delivers 224PS, up to 53mpg and CO₂ emissions of 125g/km, but more importantly, it should feel straightforward to live with. Around town, it can run quietly on electric power at lower speeds, then switch seamlessly to petrol on longer trips. It offers a way to cut fuel costs and emissions without changing driver habits or relying on charging infrastructure.

Alongside it, JAECOO has introduced a Black Luxury edition of its plug-in hybrid, starting from £36,500. This focuses more on styling, with blacked-out exterior details and interior trim, while keeping the same powertrain.
Both models build on strong early momentum for the brand, with over 35,000 UK registrations since launch.
Orders open in May.
