KGM Motors UK has introduced its next-generation Dual Tech Hybrid powertrain, debuting in the new Torres Hybrid and Actyon Hybrid, now available from £35,995 and £38,995 respectively.
Developed in collaboration with BYD, the system pairs a dedicated 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with an e-DHT hybrid transmission and dual motors, delivering a driving experience designed to feel as close as possible to a full EV while retaining long-range capability and towing suitability.

A class-leading 1.83kWh hybrid battery, the largest in its segment, supports electric-only driving at speeds of up to 62mph, while a dual-motor layout enables nine automatic driving modes, including EV, series-parallel hybrid and engine drive. The powertrain also features adjustable regenerative braking to maximise energy recovery in everyday use.
Kevin Griffin, managing director of KGM Motors UK, said the new system delivers “the smooth, near-silent feel [customers] associate with electric vehicles, but with the range, robustness and everyday usability they expect from a KGM”.
