Lepas L6 brings PHEV and EV options to UK fleets later this year

Chinese brand Lepas has confirmed its second UK model, with the L6 crossover set to arrive later this year as both a plug-in hybrid and fully electric option.

Positioned as a rival to the Hyundai Kona, the five-seat L6 gives fleets flexibility depending on how vehicles are actually used. The PHEV version suits drivers mixing motorway mileage with urban trips, pairing a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor for a claimed 700-mile combined range – helpful where charging isn’t always convenient.

The EV variant is more geared towards predictable daily use. A 67kWh battery delivers up to 270 miles, with rapid charging from 30-80% in around 20 minutes, making it a practical option for commuting and regular local journeys.

As a sibling to the Jaecoo 7, the L6 is expected to follow a value-focused approach, giving fleets another route into electrification without pushing into premium pricing. Full UK details will be announced closer to launch.
