How fleets can build confidence around neuroinclusivity with help from Venson

A new white paper from Venson Automotive Solutions is helping fleet leaders understand how to make their operations more inclusive for neurodivergent drivers and why doing so can strengthen retention, safety, and team performance.

Neurodiversity Behind the Wheel – Driving Change, outlines practical ways to support employees with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, from optimising vehicle choice and workplace communication to building confidence in day-to-day management.

Venson’s guidance stresses that embracing neuroinclusivity doesn’t mean adding complexity. Instead, it shows fleets how simple awareness and design adjustments can make a measurable difference to wellbeing and efficiency.

With 15–20% of the population estimated to be neurodivergent, the paper highlights how understanding sensory sensitivities — such as light, sound, and information processing — can help create safer and more comfortable driving environments.

Samantha Roff, managing director at Venson, said: “Almost a fifth of the population has neurodivergent qualities, a reality that businesses cannot ignore. If organisations like the idea of retaining employees for longer and matching drivers with roles in which they can excel, they need to accept that one size does not fit all.”
