Kia has confirmed that the second-generation Seltos — one of its strongest global performers — will be offered in the UK and Europe for the first time in 2026. Sitting between the Niro and Sportage, the new model is pitched as an “expressive” alternative to the brand’s best-selling SUV and will compete directly with the Volkswagen T-Roc.
The Seltos adopts a more rugged brief than before, with skidplates, optional all-wheel drive and light off-road modes. Kia is also leaning into a lifestyle angle with colours such as Iceberg Green and Magma Red.

Powertrains include a 147bhp 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre turbo unit offering either 178bhp (manual) or 192bhp (automatic). A hybrid, using the Niro’s 139bhp set-up, is due in 2026. Kia says the broad mix “meets diverse customer needs across global markets”.
To suit UK and European expectations, the Seltos gains a 12.3in infotainment screen, sunroof, reclining rear seats, head-up display and 536 litres of boot space as standard.
Launched in 2019, the Seltos has been a major seller in India and Mexico, but this marks its first entry into Europe after previously missing EU safety and emissions thresholds.
