The volume of used Teslas being offered on the second-hand market continued to increase during the first quarter of the year, according to the latest Marketcheck data.
• 2951 used Teslas were sold in March 2025, but sales dropped by 20.5% to 2347 in April – the lowest monthly total this year.
• All four Tesla models (Y, X, 3 and S) have seen average used values fall by almost 30% between May 2023 and April 2025.
• Model Y prices dropped 36.4%, from £47,068 in May 2023 to £29,938 in April 2025 – the steepest fall of any Tesla model.
• From January to April 2025, the Model Y lost a further 5.9% in value, down £2,785.
• The Model S recorded the largest price drop in 2025 alone – down £3147 (11.9%) from £26,983 in January to £23,447 in April.
• Compared with May 2023, the Model S has fallen by 31.1%, from an average price of £34,024.
• In April 2025, the Model 3 became the first used Tesla in the UK to dip below £20,000, with an average price of £19,842.
• This marks a 36.1% (£11,222) fall from May 2023 and a 5.7% (£1,759) drop since January.
• The Model X remains the priciest used Tesla, but has fallen by £17,519 (33.7%) from £51,934 in May 2023 to £34,415 in April 2025.
• Model X sales ranged between 51 and 102 monthly between May 2023 and April 2025. Fewer units were sold in April 2025 (79) than in May 2023 (92).
