A year after launching its Battery Health Grading service, BCA reports measurable gains in buyer confidence, sales speed and vehicle value across the used electric vehicle (EV) market.
The remarketing company uses an A-E battery grading system and a State of Health (SoH) percentage using AVILOO's FLASH Test to enhance EV transparency across its range of used vehicles.
Across more than 22,000 graded EVs, BCA recorded a £258 (1.4%) uplift against guide prices and a 2.7-day reduction in time-to-sale. Since July 2025, that uplift has risen to £365 (2.1%), while sale conversion rates improved by over 10% for graded vehicles.
Chief Operating Officer Stuart Pearson said: “Battery transparency is critical to building trust in the used EV market. Our grading system provides the clarity that buyers need and the confidence sellers want.”
BCA sold over 26,000 used EVs in the first half of the financial year and expects to exceed 50,000 units by year-end, underlining the growing maturity of the UK’s used EV sector.
