Omoda&Jaecoo UK has surpassed 100,000 vehicle registrations in less than two years, with the dual-brand operation now claiming almost 5.7% combined market share.
The milestone comes after rapid growth for the two brands' models since Omoda's launch in August 2024 and Jaecoo's in January 2025. The brands, part of Chery Group, now have more than 144 retailers operating across the UK.
The Jaecoo 7 has been a key driver of growth, remaining among the UK’s 10 best-selling cars since September 2025 and third best-selling car to date in 2026.
Figures from the SMMT show that more than 53,000 Jaecoo 7 SUVs have been registered since its launch in February 2025, with 66% sold to retail customers and 75% of buyers opting for the flagship SHS-P plug-in hybrid model. As for Omoda, the standout model was the Omoda 5, exceeding 36,500 sales, making it a popular choice among new family SUVs.

Between the two, it offers six SUV models spanning petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains, giving fleets a wide range of choice when considering a new family SUV.
The brand says continued investment in the retailer network, aftersales support, logistics and customer experience would remain central to the company’s UK strategy.
For fleets, this shows a significant increase in appeal for two brands which, previously, were unknown to UK company car drivers. It shows growing demand for cars that represent good value, as well as trust for Chinese brands becoming stronger.
Similarly, Chinese manufacturer, BYD surpassed 100,000 vehicle registrations since its launch in March 2023.
