Changan confirms E06 electric SUV for UK launch in 2027

Changan will expand its UK line-up in early 2027 with the arrival of the E06, a compact electric SUV designed to appeal to European drivers and sit below the Deepal S05 and S07. The model, unveiled at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, becomes the brand’s third UK offering and is expected to target rivals such as the BYD Atto 3, Citroën ë-C3 Aircross and Kia EV4.

Powered by a 268bhp front-mounted motor and a 61.7kWh LFP battery, the E06 delivers an estimated 280 miles of range. Charging capability includes 11kW AC and up to 162kW DC, giving fleets flexibility across depot, workplace and rapid-charging scenarios.

Ethan Yin, executive deputy general manager of Changan Europe Business Unit, said: “The Changan E06 represents another important step in strengthening our presence in Europe… our new all-electric small SUV underscores our commitment to providing accessible and innovative mobility for everyday needs.”

At 4,435mm long, the E06 majors on cabin space, offering 800mm of rear knee room and a 545-litre boot. The interior features a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and 10.2-inch digital cluster, with a layout tailored to European tastes.

Pricing is still to be confirmed, but expectations place the E06 at around £30,000, making it the most affordable Changan model in the UK when it arrives. A seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and eight-year/124,000-mile battery warranty will be standard.
