Lepas L6 EV lands in UK to sit alongside Jaecoo and Omoda

Chinese brand, Lepas is launching a second car for the UK market, called the Lepas L6. It follows the L8 SUV and is a fully-electric vehicle that sits on the same platform as the Jaecoo 7 and Omoda 5. 

Lepas is part of the Chery automotive group, and the L6 EV houses a 65kWh battery pack and front-mounted electric motor pushing out 217hp. 0-62mph takes 7.9-seconds and it has a claimed WLTP driving range of 279-miles. 

When connected to a 120kW DC charger, the L6 EV can charge from 30-80% in around 22-minutes. 

Inside, the L6 EV greets occupants with a 13.2-inch infotainment screen along with a premium-looking interior designed to imitate that of more luxurious SUVs. Some of the switchgear is common with the other Chery group brands, as demonstrated by the steering wheel. 

Pricing for the Lepas L6 EV is yet to be announced, but order books open in the beginning of Q4 with first deliveries taking place just before the end of 2026. Given the L8 starts from £34,900, we can expect the smaller L6 to cut just below that. 

For fleets, the Lepas L6 EV represents the Chery group offering more choice for BiK tax-friendly vehicles that offer premium elements for bargain value. In-line with Lepas' sibling brands, the L6 is backed with a seven-year/100,000-mile basic warranty along with an eight-year/100,000-mile plan for the battery.
