Leapmotor reveals B03X compact EV with 300-mile headline range

Leapmotor has unveiled the B03X, a compact electric SUV destined to compete with models like the Ford Puma Gen-E and Vauxhall Mokka when it arrives in global markets. The brand claims a 312-mile range on the Chinese CLTC test cycle, which is expected to equate to around 250 miles WLTP — placing it firmly in the core fleet-friendly crossover segment.

Known domestically as the A10, the B03X sits on Leapmotor’s dedicated E architecture and measures over 4,200mm long, 1,800mm wide and 1,600mm tall. That footprint suggests strong urban usability with enough space to serve as a practical small fleet vehicle.

Technical details remain limited, but Leapmotor says the B03X will feature door-to-door advanced driver assistance, an AI-driven cockpit, and full over-the-air updates to keep software and safety systems current throughout the vehicle’s life.

The company says the B03X has been engineered to “break the industry’s three dilemmas: that premium must mean expensive, small cars must be low-tech and compact dimension must sacrifice space.”

Pricing and UK availability have yet to be confirmed, but the model’s scale, range and tech focus signal a competitive new entry into the compact EV space.
