Omoda has introduced its third model for the UK, unveiling the new Omoda 7 — a mid-size SUV that enters one of the most contested segments with a notably competitive price. Petrol versions start at £29,915, while the plug-in hybrid arrives from £32,000, placing it well below most established rivals.
Slotting between the Omoda 5 and flagship Omoda 9, the new model uses the brand’s Super Hybrid System (SHS), pairing a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an 18.3kWh battery. The system delivers 204PS, 365Nm, and a 700-mile+ total range, including 56 miles of EV-only driving. Fast-charging reaches 40kW, and V2L functionality is available via a 3.3kW port. CO₂ emissions stand at 23g/km, securing a 9% BIK rate.

Inside, the Omoda 7 offers a 15.6-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, Snapdragon 8155 processor, wireless smartphone connectivity and OTA updates. Two trims are available: Knight, with heated eco-leather steering wheel and 19-inch alloys, and Noble, which adds ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof and a 12-speaker Sony system.
With PHEV rivals such as the Hyundai Tucson (£39,275), Kia Sportage (£40,575) and Lexus NX (£49,995) priced significantly higher, the Omoda 7 enters the UK with a strong value proposition — particularly for cost-sensitive fleets considering their next mid-size SUV.
