Volkswagen is adding a Match trim level to the T-Roc SUV, which sits between the entry-level T-Roc Life and mid-range Style. Order books open on 13 August.
The T-Roc Match will start from £32,135 - just £500 more than the Life (£31,635) and comes with more standard equipment. This includes heated front seats, a heated multi-function steering wheel, VW's Digital Cockpit Pro, tinted rear glass and even the brand's IDA voice assistant.
The Match trim is available with two powertrains; a 1.5-litre turbocharged mild-hybrid petrol engine with either 116hp or 150hp. Both are teamed with Volkswagen's seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
For fleets, the Match trim represents an attractive middle ground in the VW model range. In cars such as the Golf, it has been popular with drivers for a long time, offering generous equipment levels at a competitive price point. In the case of the T-Roc, the range-topping R-Line offers a more premium, sporting look, whereas the Match focuses on being more conservative.
