Peugeot has refreshed the 408 range for 2026, delivering subtle efficiency gains for the fully electric e-408 alongside updated styling and familiar electrified powertrain options for fleet buyers.
The e-408 fastback now offers a WLTP range of up to 285 miles, a modest two-mile improvement achieved through aerodynamic refinements. While the increase is incremental, it reinforces the model’s positioning as a credible long-distance EV for drivers covering mixed motorway and urban mileage. Rapid charging remains unchanged, with DC rates of up to 120kW enabling a 20-80% recharge in around 30 minutes, equivalent to roughly 171 miles of range.

From summer, the e-408 will also gain Plug and Charge capability, allowing automatic payment authorisation via the Free2Move app when connected to compatible public chargers. Peugeot says the service is already live at 15,000 European charging points, primarily on major routes.
Alongside the EV, Peugeot continues to offer a Hybrid 145 for lower-emission fleets and a Plug-in Hybrid 240, delivering a 53-mile electric-only range for drivers able to maximise workplace or home charging.
Revised exterior lighting, new bumpers and wheel designs complete the update, with prices and full specifications due to follow.
