Renault has officially unveiled the Twingo E-Tech Electric, an all-electric revival of its city car and a move to democratise urban electric mobility.
The new Twingo is designed to be both sustainable and affordable, with a target starting price below £20,000, making it one of the most accessible electric vehicles in Europe. It’s also the first model developed under Renault’s “Leap 100” programme, brought from concept to production in just 100 weeks.

Powered by a lightweight 60kW motor and LFP battery, the Twingo E-Tech offers a WLTP range of up to 163 miles, combining low running costs with agility. Its One Pedal driving mode enhances energy recovery and simplifies stop-start traffic.
While compact, the Twingo maintains a smiling front-end design, expressive LED lighting, and a driver-friendly cabin. It also incorporates the same AmpR Small platform underpinning Renault’s upcoming 4 and 5 models.

Renault says the Twingo E-Tech is built to “revolutionise the city car market” — a practical, connected, and genuinely affordable EV that puts electric driving within reach for more UK households and fleets.
