Lexus updates RZ electric SUV with longer range and faster charging

Upgraded powertrains, faster charging, and longer range are to be expected on the latest iteration of Lexus' RZ Electric SUV range. Prices start from £53,995, with first deliveries expected in spring 2026.

The range-topping RZ 550e F Sport Takumi is priced at £69,995, while the entry-level RZ 350e offers up to 353 miles WLTP — 58 miles more than its predecessor. All models benefit from a new 77kWh lithium-ion battery, revised eAxles for improved efficiency, and a 22kW onboard AC charger that cuts full charging time to 3.5 hours. A 150kW DC charger enables a 10–80% recharge in 30 minutes.

Performance spans from 221hp (RZ 350e) to 402hp (RZ 550e), with 0–62mph times as low as 4.4 seconds. The RZ also debuts Lexus’s Interactive Manual Drive, simulating manual gearshifts for a more dynamic experience.

Five trim levels are offered, including Premium, Takumi, and F Sport variants, all with sustainable materials and enhanced sound insulation. The RZ forms part of Lexus’s three-model BEV rollout due by March 2026.
